  • Yes. If you were born after 16 August 1960 and at least one of your parents was a Cypriot citizen at the time of your birth,.

  • Not directly. In this case, your parent must first register as a Cypriot citizen. Once they are registered, you may then apply.

  • Yes. Children under 18 of Cypriot citizens can apply.

  • An apostille is a stamp of authentication that makes your birth, marriage, or other official certificates legally valid in Cyprus. Without it, your documents will not be accepted.

  • Originals are normally not returned by the Civil Registry, so it is essential to keep certified copies before submission.

  • No. You can apply through the Cyprus Embassy or Consulate in your country. However, you must appear in person for ID card and passport applications, as biometrics are required.

  • Yes. Cyprus allows dual citizenship.
